Non-immigrant Visas
Effective January 1, 2008, the application fee for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa will increase from $100 to $131. This increase allows the Department to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the non-immigrant visa application process. All applicants for non-immigrant visas will need to bring 131 USD or the equivilent in Algerian dinars (presently 8800 Algerian dinars) to their visa appointment beginning January 1.
A visa applicant who has already provided ten fingerprints at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate may not need to return to the Embassy to be fingerprinted and interviewed for a subsequent visa. He may go to UPS (United Parcel Service) to submit his application. Please Click here to learn more about this program.
